The oocyte donation in the Czech Republic is anonymus, voluntary and free of charge. It is impossible to provide any information about the donor.
For our patients - recipients we try to choose donors of about the same height, eye and hair colour as the recipient has. If possible, we also try to find the donor with the same blood group as the recipient.
All the data about the donor's condition, examination results and direct contact are safely stored at our clinic. In case of necessity (if e.g. the condition of the child born from the donated oocytes requires this) it is possible to find the important information.
Our clinic warranties:
-
donor choice according to internationally acknowledged tests
Our donors are young women up to 35 years of age who meet the strict criteria for the search of oocyte donors (Guidelines for oocyte donation of The American Society of Reproductive Medicine published in Fertility and Sterility, Vol. 77, No. 6, Suppl. 5, June 2002).
All these women are examined gynaecologically, endocrionologically and genetically and they are repeatedly tested for the presence of sexually transmitted diseases (HIV, syphilis, hepatitis, chlamydias, cytomegalovirus)
-
We guarantee at least 2 quality embryos on the 5th day of cultivation ready for transfer (blastocyst transfer)
In case there are not at least 2 embryos of good quality at our disposal for an embryo transfer, we do not perform it and we do not require any payment. The cases when we do not perform the embryo transfer are, however, very occasional. On the contrary, usually we have 3-4 embryos of good quality at our disposal before the embryo transfer, which can be frozen within a cryopreservation programme.
-
The remaining embryos can be cryopreserved for further use for free
