Extended embryo cultivation

Extended embryo cultivation is a laboratory technique which substantially improves the results of achieving pregnancy by means of IVF-ET method. The embryo cultivation is extended beyond 48 hours, preferably to the blastocyst stage (cultivation 5-6 days). The cultivation is performed in 2-3 different types of foreign media. It results in a better growth and differentiation of embryos. This enables a better examination of the development of single embryos and selection of the best ones to insert into the uterus. This method resembles the natural process.
